Sanmen County is a coastal county under the jurisdiction of Taizhou City in southeastern Zhejiang Province, People's Republic of China. Renowned as the "Hometown of Chinese Green Crabs" and a "Golden Beach by Sanmen Bay", it is a picturesque land where mountains and sea converge.
Location: Situated on the banks of Sanmen Bay, at the midsection of China's "Golden Coastline". It borders Ninghai County (Ningbo) to the north, Linhai City (Taizhou) to the south, and faces the East China Sea to the east.
Area: Total area of 1,510 km², including 1,072 km² of land and 496 km² of sea area.
Coastline: 167 kilometers long, with a rugged coastline and over 120 islands scattered offshore.

Famous for over 200 varieties of "small seafood", with Sanmen Green Crab, razor clam, mudskipper, and octopus (Wangchao) holding national geographical indication trademarks. The aquaculture industry is a pillar, with an annual output value of nearly 3 billion yuan.
